Dr. McIntosh is extensively involved in providing continuing medical education programs to colleagues nationally and internationally, with a focus on rational pharmacology and the neurobiology of mood and anxiety disorders and ADHD.

A widely respected author, educator, innovative entrepreneur, and advocate, she has dedicated her career to improving access to psychiatric care through the intersection of education and advanced technology. Dr. McIntosh has co-founded several landmark resources, including SwitchRx, an online tool used by over 125,000 global healthcare professionals; and RAPIDS, a platform designed to personalize psychiatric treatment and improve patient outcomes.

Beyond her clinical and digital innovation, she is the author of three books—including the acclaimed This is Depression—and the host of the PsychedUp, Blindsided, and Wicked Mind podcasts.

Dr. McIntosh’s significant contributions to Canadian healthcare and her lifelong service to psychiatric advocacy have earned her prestigious national recognitions. She was named one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network, and was honored with the King Charles III Coronation Medal, a testament to her enduring impact on medical education and her unwavering commitment to the mental health community.
